Description

The digital transformation of our economy is having an extraordinary impact on wider society, creating opportunities to improve the way we live and work in Europe and across the globe. The pace of digital transformation also presents a number of societal challenges, particularly how to ensure greater inclusion in the digital economy, where no-one is left behind. This session will therefore focus on how we can maximize the societal benefits of digital transformation and minimize the challenges, to ensure an inclusive global digital economy. We will explore how to:-Improve how we live through better access to healthcare, increased environmental sustainability and reduced social isolation;-Improve how we work through a more accessible, diverse and inclusive workplace and increased productivity;-Open up new opportunities through greater and wider access to education, skills development opportunities, market access, and jobs.
