Drew Sullivan is the Editor and Co-Founder of OCCRP and served as its first director. He founded and is Executive Director of the Journalism Development Network, an innovative media development organization with programs worldwide. He has served on the board of directors of Investigative Reporters and Editors and the National Institute for Computer Assisted Reporting. Prior to establishing OCCRP, he founded the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIN) in Bosnia and Herzegovina and served as its director and editor. As a journalist and editor, his teams have been awarded the European Press Prize, Global Shining Light Awards, Daniel Pearl Awards; the Online Journalism Award for investigative reporting; the Tom Renner Award recognising outstanding crime and corruption reporting and many other international awards. He has spearheaded investment in technology as a means to innovate and revolutionize investigative journalism. Before becoming a journalist, he was an aerospace engineer on the Space Shuttle Project for Rockwell International Space Systems.
